Call for Fire Truck Pull Teams!



4th Fire Truck Pull: Call For Teams!Register by September 1st!


Outright Vermont, Vermont's provider of support and educational services for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, questioning and queer youth, will benefit from the 4th Annual Fire Truck Pull held on the Church Street Marketplace on Saturday, September 15th from 12pm-2pm.
Teams of 12 people will be pulling a REAL Fire Truck up the Marketplace. Teams with the best pull times, best costumes and most money raised will win prizes.


Do You Have What it Takes?
Think you and 11 of your buddies can pull a fire truck? Think you can do it faster than everyone else? Come show us! Register your team by Sept. 1st by calling 802-865- 9677.


Each team is challenged with raising $1,000 each to compete in the Pull. Team registration and event information are available for download on the Outright Vermont website. Teams of all ages, genders and occupations are encouraged to compete!



Prizes for fastest pull time, most money raised, and "best dressed" teams will be given out. Every team gets a free Fire Truck Pull t-shirt!

Proceeds from the Pull benefit Outright Vermont's services for queer youth in Vermont. Outright VT provides direct services to youth through age 22, including HIV education, weekly drop-in sessions and discussions, support for gay-straight alliances in schools, a state-wide chat and information line, and referrals for youth in crisis. Outright VT also provides educational workshops and trainings to students and educators throughout the state to address issues of discrimination and harassment in schools.

Our annual silent auction contains the most eclectic spread of items around. Come bid on over 200 products, goods, and services from local Vermont business.

BLACKED OUT BLOWOUT

The third of what is hoped to be a long-running series of monthly events for the queer community, will again feature the blend of old-school house and contemporary dance music of deejays Alan Perry and good friend Rob Douglas. What we will be adding are black lights and glow sticks. We hope that you will add a touch of your own black attire and a dark attitude!

We are sure that this is going to be another night to remember, so we’ll expect to see you there.

Vermont CARES Live and Silent Auction - Coming Soon!

Vermont CARES' Annual Live and Silent Auction is March 10th, 2007 from 7pm to 11pm. This year, join us at the Inn at Essex as the Inn and New England Culinary Institute host a fabulous evening of food, great company, and fantastic auction items from around the state.

Tickets are $20 and proceeds fund Vermont CARES' HIV prevention and care programs across Vermont. An RSVP is helpful, but not needed. Contact Peter Jacobsen at 802/863-2437, ext. 18 or by email at peter@vtcares.org for more information.

Examples of items up for bid this year include:

Montpelier LGBTQ Friendly Dance Event

New (MONTHLY) LGBTQ friendly dance event happening in Montpelier at Positive Pie 2. DJ John Nelson spins music from 10 pm - 2 am the first Saturday of every month. This event was held in January and the place was packed. Make sure to check it out.
